Who Wore It Better?

What I’m Loving Right Now: Easy Side Braid

The side braid is the peeeeerfect hairstyle for hot weather. The looser, frizzier, and messier the better. And if pieces happen to fall out? Great! Your hair is pulled off your neck and face, keeping your cool but still on trend. You can jazz em up by incorporating additional braids or hair accessories, or you can keep it simple. A side braid works casually for day (see Candice Swanepoel) or for the most fabulous of nights (see Emma Stone at this year’s Met Gala). Whatever your hair type, wherever you’re going, give a side braid a shot!

Top: TopShop

Shorts: Nordstrom

Sandals: Target

Today is blisteringly hot in Boston (a lovely 96 degrees) so when it came to getting dressed it was all about staying cool. A simple outfit of shorts, a tank, and sandals is elevated by pattern (sand dollar-printed shorts) and a pop of neon (the vibrant tank).

What I’m Loving Right Now: Sheer

Sheer is the classiest way to show skin this summer. It’s flirty and feminine but still sophisticated. And don’t be fooled into thinking you can only wear white sheer. Sheer styles work in darks and pastels too (I’m not the biggest fan of bright sheers… I think the bright and the sheer together is too much. But that’s just me. And I’m always open to seeing a look that will change my opinion!). As a top, skirt, or dress, try your hand at the sheer trend!
